Halloween at Hoakalei
Hundreds of princesses, fairies, super heroes and monsters descended on Hoakalei Country Club for the 2nd annual Halloween Haunt. Costumed keiki collected candy and other treats from the Trick-O-Treat Village, and entered a costume contest held next to the members lounge. Grownups, ghouls and keiki alike all enjoyed yummy hot dogs and mini-sliders from Chef Arin and his team. Thanks to the generosity of the Club and sponsors listed below, the event raised $1,500 for the Weed & Seed program in 'Ewa.

Thanks to the generosity of the sponsors shown above, the fundraising tournament raised more than $100,000 for five charitable organizations, including the non-profit Hoakalei Charities. “The Els Hoakalei Cup is one of our most anticipated events of the year,” said Hoakalei Country Club Manager Mike Biscotti. “It’s a perfect combination of great golf, camaraderie and charity.” Golfers enjoyed hosted lunch, tee packages valued at more than $300, the opportunity to vie for generous prizes and a casino-themed cocktail awards reception. Reservations are already being accepted for next year's event, which is tentatively scheduled for Friday, April 27, 2012. For more information about the Els Hoakalei Cup, please call 808.853-4347.
Halloween Haunt at Hoakalei
Several hundred families enjoyed Halloween festivities at the Club on Oct. 31. Thanks to the generosity of this year's sponsors, the Club was able to provide the community with an afternoon of free family fun.
Keiki cast ballots to decide which booth in the trick-o-treat village was the most festively decorated. Dog the Bounty Hunter and his wife Beth capturing a jailbird couple from Steven Chung & Associates earned the top prize, followed by the engineering team from RM Towill. The prize wheel at Atlas Insurance's booth came in third.
Congratulations also to VA Loans HI/Island Style Realty - their treats were judged to be the best that day.
Chef Arin and his team cooked up a storm of tasty Hoakalei Sliders and Kirsch Sausages to keep everyone fueled up and the folks at Coca Cola and Menehune Water quenched everyone's thirst.
Hoakalei Country Club Members Gary & Mitsy Royster and Ken & Claire Yamagata joined the dozens of volunteers from all the event sponsors to make this first annual event a rousing success.

Na Koa Bowl Fundraiser

Hoakalei Country Club is dedicated to supporting the communities of Ewa Beach and Hawaii as a proud sponsor of the annual Els Hoakalei Cup charitable golf tournament. In addition to supporting the tournament's beneficiaries, proceeds raised by EHC allows Hoakalei Charities to provide financial support to worthwhile organizations such as the Na Koa Football Club, whose mission is to support athletic excellence and academic achievement for the University of Hawaii's Warrior Football.
On August 17, Hoakalei Charities and Haseko presented Na Koa with a $4,000 donation at the Na Koa Bowl Fundraiser. Haseko executives Raymond Kanna and Tom Sagawa joined Hoakalei Country Club General Manager Mike Biscotti in making the donation at the fundraiser (top photo). Mike also volunteered his time at the event, which raised more than $63,000 to support the UH Warrior Football program. [Photos courtesy of Na Koa].
